Nelda Augustin, Curator (Founder)

(Former Executive Director /
Former-Chair)

Nelda Augustin is a shining light in the world of cultural preservation and positive change. A believer representing good, without forgetting the lessons of unfortunate circumstances. As an avid student of life, I rarely find a few situations here and there to be a surprise. After surviving damn near-death experiences, sometimes surprises are just another day or, in many cases, just another example of a “Well-Aged-Thing of Beauty” in the form of a “Refined-Glass-of-Wine”. It is mesmerizing to learn of historic contributions, but to be a part of it is even more honorable. Multicultural descendants whose contributions highlighted the culture and made positive cultural changes. Recognizing Youth Endeavors as future leaders and preserving cultural legacies while highlighting notable figures of the current time is evident in her work. Nelda's journey has been shaped by her positive upbringing and resilient attitude. From her early days in Cap-Haitian, Haiti, to Miami and then Long Island, New York, Nelda's diverse experiences have influenced her perspective. After pursuing her studies in psychology, midway turned over to business management, which eventually led her to a successful career in real estate as managing owner. Whereas Nelda opened & ran a successful title company in South Florida for more than a decade in her former Real Estate Industry Career. And, thereafter, investing in a small community Café, which it closed due to COVID in 2020. As a Barista, in addition to being very well-known for being passionate about Red Wine, Nelda is indeed just as passionate. Even developed a popular and traditional homemade “Herbal-Ginger” tea at her Tea & Smoothies shop, which she relaunched just in February 2025 & remains until today as a small local community Teashop. Nelda's humble beginnings, from where she stands after a multitude of endeavors, for those who know Nelda, can indeed testify to the resilience instilled within. No matter the obstacles, turmoil, life lessons & changes, it serves not as a deterrent to her creative ambition, but rather part of a catalyst that fueled motivation to inspire her strength. In short, the aim for historic contribution preservation & cultural enlightenment awareness to the surface and positive actions of cultural preservation for a better & generational legacy longevity.

Remembering Their Contributions

A Cultural Hub Institute

Ahof Museum, since its inception in 2021, we knew to embark on a Cultural preservation initiative of a certain magnitude, as we envisioned, we ought to be ready for a journey.  We are happy to date; the journey continues.  Our work towards making efforts to safeguard both tangible and intangible heritage, including physical sites, artifacts, traditions, and oral histories, to maintain cultural narratives and foster appreciation for historic cultural contributions.

Message from Founder:

The inclusion of all aspects of art refers to the practice of representing and celebrating a wide range of cultural, social, and personal perspectives within the art world. This inclusivity is crucial for reflecting historical contributions in multicultural diversity. Especially where amplifying underrepresented voices is designed to reshape future celebrated, valued concepts & developments!

Ahof Museum is a cultural hub platform, inclusive of a historic contributions institute, engaged in increasing cultural awareness

Ahof Museum Hall of Fame.

Thank you!
